Moselle Valley

Luxembourg is a beautiful city, indeed.

However, when you get tired of it and want a change, we strongly recommend the Moselle Valley between Trier and Koblenz.

We've been there a couple of times and enjoyed it every time.

Just to get a taste of it, we include some photos:

By the way, if you see "Konditorei" written at the entrance of some shops, enter without a doubt. You will have another reason to return ...

There's no storm like alcohol ...


Take a look at the picture on the right - you would think that it was made after a strong storm.

However, it was made after some people were too drunk to be able to avoid it - it was simply coming their way and they had to defend themselves.

So that you know, at night the city is haunted with such moving objects and the Alzette is testimony of the hard work done by the brave militia to save us from the evilness of traffic signs, garbage bins, wine bottles, etc.

So, if you plan to come to Luxembourg for a night out, do not worry - it's safe. The militia is guarding ...

Traffic lights in Luxembourg City

Yesterday while I was nicely cruising on empty Sunday summer streets in the City, I noticed something rather annoying: the traffic lights in the city centre are not synchronized at all.

During a 1 km trip, on the way from the junction between Cote d'Eich and Boulevard Royal until the beginning on Route d'Arlon, we had to stop at 5 traffic lights - judge for yourself !
